| so here's why you should follow me to blogspot: 1. it looks more professional, less flashy-childish. 2. it's not becoming a facebook look-a-like 3. if you're an author on multiple blogs, it tracks it on your profile 4. dashboard makes keeping track of your blogs easy 5. it works better with google reader* 6. it's powered by google, which means it's quality 7. it keeps track of recent comments, so you're not constantly checking a few recent posts for new comments 8. it can still be costumized by html formating 9. you can comment there without a blogspot account 10. i'll be there (you know this is your top reason)
so yeah, choose whatever you want, but that's why i'm leaving. if you haven't turned off your rss feed, i'll still be reading your xanga from google reader*. if not, i'll stop back every now and then to check. take care, all, and may Jesus keep you in the palm of His hand.
*google reader is a great way to keep track of things you read online. blogs, announcements, everything that's frequently updated generally uses an rss feed (the little orange box with radio waves) that you can subscribe to using reader. it keeps track of all your feeds neatly and easily. you should use this.

| love is finding your joy in someone else's joy.
i was trying to define what love truly is last week, and that's what i got. and it fits, as far as i can tell. we love God by finding our joy in His joy, which means we obey Him because it shows we care about Him and what He wants us to do. Jesus loves us by finding His joy (part of it) in our joy, and since it is most joyful for us to know Him and treasure Him and be in relationship with Him, Jesus came down and died to reconcile us to Him, so that He would have a people to enjoy Him and glorify Him forever. and we love other people by finding our joy in their joy so that we rejoice with those who rejoice, we mourn with those who mourn, because their joy or lack thereof influences our joy or lack thereof. ultimately, we love them most by helping them find their joy in Jesus above all things, because they will not be most joyful until they treasure Him over everything else. this is how paul writes "not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith" (2 corinthians 1:24), and it makes sense in the context of the next few verses, where paul talks about finding his joy in the joy of the corithian church. so our joy makes those who love us joyful, which makes us joyful because we love them, and so it's a great feedback loop of joy. it's all about joy, and specifically, joy in Jesus. this is Christian hedonism. this is love.

this sounds pretty awesome. the one thing i noticed, though, is how the paper keeps referring to Christianity as changing China, not Jesus changing it. that, and how much these people are praying for their nation. let us have the same fervor, and follow 1 timothy 2 in praying for our leaders and nation. only God can change hearts, so let's look to Him to do so. and let's pray all the more for china, that it grows in faith in Christ, that it becomes a nation full of Christians, though not a "christian nation". the latter doesn't work so well.
come, Lord Jesus. change hearts, change minds, let our people run hard after You. let us truly be a generation that seeks Your face above all things, that treasures You above all things, that You may be shown to be as glorious as You truly are.
